DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join Boulder Junction’s Northwoods Music Gathering! Bring your acoustic instrument\, your voice\, or just come along to listen to a gathering of music enthusiasts and have fun! \nThe first hour of each gathering includes easier songs that any ability level can play or sing along to – chords and lyrics available to supplement. The second hour includes more advanced songs\, including those brought by others in the group. \nThe Northwoods Music Gathering is held the second Tuesday of each month. In winter months we meet from 3pm – 5pm and during summer we meet from 5pm – 7pm. DESCRIPTION:The Northern Waters Genealogical Society is a diverse group of people interested in their family history\, those just beginning genealogy research and more experienced family historians.  They meet monthly for a genealogical program designed to help members and guests research family records and document their family histories. There is a brief business meeting following each genealogical program. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian – no unattended children will be allowed. \nFor more questions\, please contact Gabriel M. at 715-661-3783 or the library at 715-385-2050. \nJanuary 22 Art for the Library – “Love Our Library” Project\nThis week’s activity will be creating artwork for the library’s February Artist of the Month\, in which the children’s art will be displayed at the library.\nHere are the ways your child can participate:\nOption 1: Have your child create an art piece at home inspired by the theme “Love Our Library.” They can bring it next week to Homeschool Hangout to finish up and leave it with the library.\nOption 2: Have your child create a heart (any style!) sized anywhere from 2–8 inches. Materials can include cardboard\, paint\, recycled items\, felt\, yarn—anything creative! They can decorate it with favorite books\, favorite library activities (like Homeschool Hangout)\, or anything that shows why they love the library. These hearts will be added to a group art display.\nOption 3: Art supplies will be on site on January 22 for children to create a heart.\nOption 4: Do both—create your own art piece and a heart!\nBe sure all artwork includes your child’s name and age. We’re so excited to see their creativity and to share their love of the library with the community!
